Today's topic is about Cosplay Cards or Curecards, as more commonly known. It's starting to be quite the craze here in the local community as of late. A good number have been making theirs and been trading those with their friends and fellow cosplayers usually during conventions.
Honestly speaking, I've made a couple already months ago, and have received quite a number as well :3
Well, if you're thinking about the former, then I say these are examples of Curecards/Coscards. I don't want to dwell too much on it's origin because it may just bore you. So, I'll move on. (You can always google the origin, anyway. Hohohohohoho~)
For the latter, I can totally understand why and respect your opinion. It may seem like a waste of time, since it doesn't really have much of a benefit for anybody. But, do give the due respect to those who spend part of their time to do it. It's a free world, after all. :3
If you were to ask me if I deem it to be necessary, then my answer is no. One shouldn't feel obliged to make his or her own set of these cards. For starters, cosplaying is a hobby. You don't have to follow everything because all that should matter is you having fun. BUT, I've made curecards because IT. IS. FUN.
You get to trade with other people and gain new friends. It's pretty much like a business card of sorts, and a trading card merged into one. You collect what you get and let it serve as a great way to walk down memory lane.
Curecards/coscards don't really have a specific format. (Well, you put any kind of information about you want.) You also have the freedom to design the layout of your card. So, let your mind go free and just let your imagination run wild! (Mine aren't really that visually appealing. But as the saying goes, "to each his own")
Point is, you're the boss. Do it or not, no one will judge you. :3
JUST ENJOY!!!!
That's about it for this blog, thank you and stay happy! :)
(Writing this blog reminded me that I've to make new ones! XDDDDD)
