Everyone was out for glory. Everyone wanted to show what they could give. Everyone sacrificed blood, sweat, and tears to be on what might have been the longest 3 minutes of their lives.
As tough as the competition was, we weren't going to just give everything up and watch from the sidelines. We were there, to fight, and to win.
For any preparation, there will always be obstacles. Obstacles in which you think could have been avoided, but for some odd reason, always reoccurring. It's never an easy task when you're about to get ready for battle.
One's constant struggles would be
Time
Finance
Health
Ideas
but all of those, we were ready to lay on the line because we had a goal. A dream.
On the day of reckoning, one would think that the air would be tense.
But, it was not. Yes, there's still tension, but only due to the fact that everyone didn't want to screw up their performance. But, there was no hint of malice, nor animosity from any of the teams. Instead, there was camaraderie, support, and positivity. This is not easy to come by in a competition as the people were hailing from all over the country and were not exactly friends(yet).
The feeling was so great and I'm sure it helped everyone calm their nerves as you would feel no hate nor drama. Everyone was genuinely having fun backstage and here are some pictures to prove it!
A champion does not have to come from all the grandeur and glory, but from what you have within. You strive to be the best that you can be, yet still have a hand willing to reach out to those who need it, whether it be ally or competition. You fall down, only to stand up and continue fighting. You stay humble and always thankful for you cannot do everything by yourself. You take everything that you do with pride, no matter how little or big it may be.

I cannot say that I was not disappointed that we weren't chosen. But, I believe that none of the teams lost and am proud to have been on the same stage with our champions from all of the legs. We were given the chance to prove that we can give the people quality entertainment. I am sure that we are in safe hands with our new representatives and let's do our very best to support them just as much as you have supported us last year, if not more :)
Thank you to Jonathan de Belen aka Z3LL photography for the photos!
